The biggest still wine we make! Inky, viscous that shows dark fruit and pairs well with smoked or grilled meats. NOTHING PETITE ABOUT THIS WINE!

Gold Hill Vineyard
El Dorado $28
This is our take on a ‘Right Bank’ Bordeaux Blend. The Gironde River comes in off the Atlantic on the west coast of France and immediately turns south creating the Medoc peninsula in Bordeaux the region. The wines of the Medoc, or Let Bank of the Gironde, are prominently Cabernet Sauvignon based and take time to unwind. The wines of the Right Bank are Merlot based followed by Cabernet Franc and are often much more approachable, silkier, velvety, and able to consume when younger. This vintage of Magnifique garners the ‘Reseve’ designation to the high quality of fruit in 2011. The blend is 80% Merlot followed by 10% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

Aglianico “Estate” 2011
El Dorado County $32
The ‘King of Reds’ from the Campania region of Italy, this wine’s roots stem from Mt Vesuvius and its foothills; big, bold, and often tannic, but this estate grape has soft elegant fruit characteristics… only 52 cases produced!

Primitivo “Estate” 2011
El Dorado County $30
In the 17th century, it is known that the Benedictine monks named the varietal “Primitivo” because of its precociousness (early maturity of the grape) in this zone. Also ‘Primi’ meaning first in Italian because it can be the first off the vine. High fruit and high acid means perfect with italian meats!

Il Padrino (The GodFather) “Estate” 2011
Suma Kaw Vineyard, Pleasant Valley
El Dorado County $34
We call this wine “Italian Pinot Noir” because of its delicate fruit forwardness and elegant structure; all Nebbiolo with a hint of Cabernet Sauvignon.
